Cancellations & Refunds
Clear rules for cancellations and date changes
Quick summary
We usually transfer the deposit to a new date or refund it if you cancel
Deposit is forfeited (it holds our calendar availability)
100% refund of payments made or transfer to another date — your choice
Deposit, date change and cancellation
To hold a date we usually take a deposit — we then turn down other clients for that day. Therefore:
| Situation | Deposit |
|---|---|
| Date change 7 or more days before | Transfer to the new date (no extra fees) |
| Cancellation 7 or more days before | Usually 100% deposit refund |
| Change or cancellation less than 7 days before | Deposit forfeited* |
* Unless we agree otherwise (e.g. we can quickly fill that day with another group). You may also transfer your spot to another person at no extra charge.
Cancellation by organizer
If we must cancel or postpone (e.g. weather, safety), you always choose:
Option 1: Full refund
We refund 100% of payments made within 14 business days.
Option 2: New date
We move the booking / deposit to another date — no extra fees.
When might we cancel?
- Adverse weather (storms, strong wind, poor visibility)
- Avalanche warnings or trail closures
- Sudden illness of the guide/instructor
- Other circumstances preventing a safe trip
Important: Cancellation for safety reasons is not a service defect — we do this for your wellbeing.

What about weather?
Mountains aren't Disneyland — weather is unpredictable and we must respect it:
- Light rain or clouds? We go! Be prepared for mountain conditions.
- Storm, strong wind, avalanche risk? We cancel or change the route.
- Last-minute decision? If we cancel on the day — full refund or a new date.
Remember: The guide may change the route during the event for safety reasons. This is not a service defect — it's professionalism.
